About Inkjet 2T

InkJet2T is a polymer-coated heat-transfer paper designed for use in InkJet printers without heaters or drying units. The white side of the paper has a special coating that will accept and hold the inks until they dry. The back uncoated side of the paper is lined in light blue-green. DO NOT allow transfers to stack in the printer, as drying times vary depending on the printer ink and computer setting used. Independent testing showed that the plain-paper setting worked best; however drying times still varied depending on the intensity of the color reproduced. Black and darker colors took a little longer to dry than the lighter or pastel shades. InkJet2T transfers should be used as soon as possible after they are made. If transfers are allowed to sit for a long period of time before use, the image could become blurred, especially in humid weather conditions.

New InkJet2T can be peeled hot or cold to produce a satin or glossy look to the finished transfer. The easy-release characteristics of this grade make it ideal for home applications using a hand iron. The maximum recommended temperature for transferring this grade is 350°F on a heat press, or use the cotton setting on a hand iron. Higher temperatures could cause the InkJet colors to darken or turn gray. Transfer time is approximately 15 seconds. You can successfully transfer this product with temperatures as low as 250° F. InkJet2T can be transfer to 100% preshrunk cotton, cotton/polyester blends, and just about any porous surface such as puzzles, mouse pads, caps, or paperboard products for signs. When transferring to garments it is recommended to preheat the garment surface to remove any moisture and sizing. This will help the adhesion of the transfer to the garment, especially for heavy garments such as sweatshirts. When using a hand iron DO NOT USE STEAM, as this will cause poor adhesion to the garment.

A transfer made with InkJet2T will last a long time provided care is exercised when washing the garment. Always use a cool or warm water setting with a mild detergent. NEVER USE BLEACH. Because InkJet inks are acrylic or water-based, it is very important to remove the garment from the washing machine immediately after it stops. Leaving the wet garments in the machine can cause the transfers to bleed onto other parts of the garment or adjoining garments. If by accident this should happen, immediately re-wash the garments. Tumble-dry and remove from dryer immediately if your dryer is not equipped with a cool-down cycle for the last 10 to 15 minutes of drying time. If your transfer appears cracked after washing and drying, it is an indication that the garment is shrinking and the material was not totally preshrunk before the transfer was applied. Because InkJet inks are acrylic they will fade slightly after the first washing.

Before using InkJet2T always test to determine the suitability of the paper for use in conjunction with your equipment and methods. The Seller's and Manufacturer's maximum obligation is to replace any paper proven to be defective. Neither the Seller nor the Manufacturer of InkJet2T is liable for any injury, direct or consequential, arising out of the use of or the inability to use this paper.
